This book is a real asset to anyone interested in finding and
viewing many of the old workings from the earliest period to
the present.
Ken MacGowan, has gold in his blood as he is from a third
generation mining family in the Cariboo. His hand drawn
maps, mine layouts, road locations and written text make
locating the old sites very easy.
Ken gives good descriptions of the geology, and the various
methods used in each of the locations he writes about. Of
further interest he lists who the people were, when they were
in the area and how much gold was recovered.
